Earn Through Blogging

Creating a blog is not difficult but earning thru it may take some time. Blogging is not a quick rich online scheme of earning. In fact, you need to have a lot of blog posts before you get approved by Google Adsense. Fortunately, there is Amazon.com that will allow you to place ads (even with just a couple of blog posts) on their behalf and let you earn sales commissions for every sale that your blog generates. However, in order for you to achieve sales, your blog will need visitors or traffic.

So how do you attract traffic to your blog?

Share your blog. Use the share buttons to share your posts in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networks.

Pay-per-click advertising such as Google Adsense can help tremendously in attracting traffic to your blog, however, as I have mentioned above you need to have an adequate number of posts in order to be approved. If, you can add two to three posts a day you might be able to get the approval of Google Adsense in a week’s time.

Submit your blog to blog directories such Digg, Technorati, Furl, etc. You can also submit the RSS feed of your blog to RSS feed submission sites. The submission process will eat up long hours, but it guarantees to bring you results.

You may also submit articles with links to your blog to various article submission sites such as ezinearticles, iSnare, Article Ranks, Articles Base, Infobarrel, etc. You may want to do this once a week or twice a week if you have time. This can also help in generating traffic for your blog.

Learn SEO and how to incorporate the right keywords in your blog. Myriad of information on these topics is found for free online. All you need is time and patience to understand them.

I hope this post helps you.

E-Commerce: What's In It for Us?

E-commerce or electronic commerce covers any type of online transactions involving the exchange of goods and services. An example of e-commerce is you buying online. Then there is also the B2B or Business to Business transactions, which simply mean, businesses doing business with other businesses. They usually deal not just with one company, but with hundreds or even thousands of other companies. This is exactly what makes e-commerce so ideal for businesses.

Over the years, e-commerce has expanded tremendously and still expanding at a rapid rate. What does this mean for us? This means there will be lots of earning opportunities for us online. This is exciting news especially for aspiring online entrepreneurs like us.

Speaking of earning opportunities, I have already discussed one which is dropshipping. It is an online selling business wherein the requirement is a website. You won’t have to spend a cent on products since the dropshipper will handle all product related expenses. If you have the extra money to invest in a website, then you can go into dropshipping. A word of caution though be careful with the suppliers that you deal with, there are numerous scam artists online posing as suppliers.

Understanding Dropshipping

To provide you with an idea on what online ventures you can undertake, I will discuss them one by one. So, for today I will tackle dropshipping.

You have probably heard or read about it, but the whole concept of it may not be that clear to you. I have worked for Shopster.com which is an e commerce solution provider that engages in online dropshipping. The company per se is not the one doing the dropshipping, but have a network of suppliers that do the dropshipping for them. To understand the concept of dropshipping we need to know what it is.

Dropshipping is a product supply management. There are basically three participants involved--the dropshipper, the seller, and the buyer, however, in the case of Shopster.com—its dropshipper, Shopster, seller, and then the buyer. What are the roles of each of these participants in this product supply management?

Dropshipper (manufactures (but not always), supplies, packed, shipped, takes care of the returns of products ordered)-->seller (does the selling, displaying, and placing of orders through his/her online store or website)-->buyer pays for the products through the seller website

With an e commerce solution site like Shopster, the system is like this:

Network of dropshippers (these are paid members that provide the products for the sellers at Shopster’s network of sellers)-->Shopster.com (provides e commerce solution by means of pre-made online store templates and product distribution tools)-->sellers(paid members)-->buyers

If you are thinking of selling online there are benefits to dropshipping such as:

1. You will not worry about inventory since the products are not physically with you.

2. You will not trouble yourself with packing or shipping.

3. There is no warehousing cost that you have to deal with.

4. Returns are also not part of your concern.

If there are benefits there are also disadvantages:

1. You will have to spend much in upgrading your online store. You have to if you want to be competitive online.

2. If the online store template that you have purchase is not user-friendly, it’s going to be a real source of headache especially if you have no knowledge on using html, CSS, and other similar codes.

3. You have no control over the stock of your product. You may not know it, but you might be displaying a product that is already out of stock. Make sure that you regularly communicate with your supplier.

4. The packaging may not level up to your standards and affect your integrity as a seller online.

5. The product may not be delivered on time.

6. Returns may take too long.

7. Suppliers may become unresponsive which is a sign that they are not reliable or trustworthy.

8. Products are substandard.

I hope you learned something about dropshipping and remember if you want to engage in this type of business make sure that you research thoroughly especially when choosing your dropshipping supplier. Your success relies significantly on it.

There Is Still Hope

The worsening recession and increasing unemployment rate have left many of us wondering whether there is still a future for us. Believe it or not, there is a future and it’s bright and promising. All you have to do is to stop feeling sorry for yourself and start acting now.

Leverage on your internet access and computer. There are countless of earning opportunities online. Once you get to learn any of them, you will be surprised at the immense earnings that you’ll get.
